We need to re-elect Rick Mohrig.

Milton is unique in its natural beauty, its community, its people. We need leaders with proven service to the community who will work on behalf of our people to protect and preserve Milton. Rick Mohrig has more than 20 years of service to the community and even helped found Milton in 2006.

We need councilmembers who are passionate about responsibly using taxpayer dollars. Rick Mohrig has voted 3 times to reduce the tax rate on Milton citizens, and introduced the Senior Homestead Exemption for those 65 and older, voted into law in 2022, and also freed citizens aged 70+ making less than $100K from Milton property taxes.

We need empathetic, people-first leaders who are willing to dig into concerns that citizens voice. We need someone with the experience to navigate the tough conversations, like responsible growth and development.

Hi, I’m Rick! I’ve lived in Milton for 27 years with my wife Donna and have loved raising our three children (and now two grandchildren!) in Milton.

I have always been deeply involved in the community, with roles helping found Milton and also serving in the North Point Church youth ministry, local school council chair and vice-chair positions, Rotary Club member, HOA president, and a Milton City Councilman.

I am running for re-election not because I just want to be Councilman, but because I want to continue doing my part to leave our community in a better place than I found it. If re-elected, this would be my final term in office, my last formal contribution to the City I worked hard to found in 2006 and carefully establish thereafter. I believe there is still a lot of good I can do, which is why I want to work for you in my final term.

Milton needs a leader who is deeply and sincerely engaged with the community and knows how to navigate the challenges we face.

If re-elected, I will leverage my over 10 years of Milton experience to:

  • KEEP FIGHTING FOR THE TAXPAYER I have a strong record of working to reduce your taxes

  • PRESERVE OUR RURAL HERITAGE and prevent over-development

  • ENSURE INTENTIONAL GROWTH by maintaining citizens’ voice and influence through Council

I love Milton. I care about Milton – that’s why I’ve dedicated over 20 years of service to Milton and our community.

I love our equestrian landscape and I have loved our sense of community. I am doing this because I care about others — it isn’t about me.

Please reach out! I’d love to get to know you and I’d love for you to get to know who I really am.
